Could heavy metals be your kryptonite?

poisonLet’s play a game. A game of questions.

  • What is one thing that can keep your weight stuck no matter how healthy/clean you eat, hours of burning calories working out, or even starving yourself?
  • What might be keeping your brain foggy?
  • What could keep your muscles and joints achy?
  • What is correlated with cancer (especially breast, prostate, and ovarian), auto-immune diseases, thyroid issues, and chronic so-called “incurable” illnesses?
  • What disrupts your hormonal imbalance, damages hormone receptors, and causes infertility, fatigue, depression, mood swings, endometriosis and loss of libido?

(Wwwwhat? You say these aren’t just “normal” symptoms of PMS? No, my dear, they are not.)

All of these questions and symptoms tie directly to toxicity in the body and in particular heavy metal toxicity.

One of the most common areas people overlook when trying to get “healthy,” lose weight, balance hormones, cure an illness/disease or simply feel better is the toxicity level of the body. We look to food, supplements, medicine, exercise, and meditation/prayer to heal and change but not so much at toxins.

I’m not going to go into detail on the numerous amounts of toxins in our day-to-day lives or how toxins are absorbed and stored in the body, as we’ll be diving into that in the free Cleansing 101 Teleseminar on September 20th (click here to register).

But I am going to shed light on what heavy metal toxicity is, what symptoms are displayed, where you might have picked up those heavy metals, and one way to start removing the heavy metals from your body ASAP so that you can regain your health, energy, and figure. And yes, almost every person I have met has some level of heavy metal toxicity in their body.

What is heavy metal toxicity?

Simply an excessive build-up of metals in the body. The most common heavy metals that humans are exposed to are aluminum, arsenic, cadmium, lead, and mercury.

Symptoms associated with heavy metal toxicity?

  • Weight gain or resistant weight loss
  • brain fog
  • dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s
  • aches in muscles and joints
  • acne
  • headaches and migraines
  • cancer (especially breast, prostate, and ovarian)
  • auto-immune diseases (in particular fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, and MS)
  • Thyroid issues
  • hormonal imbalance, damaged hormone receptors
  • infertility
  • autism
  • fatigue
  • PCOS
  • depression
  • mood swings
  • endometriosis
  • loss of libido

Where do heavy metals come from?

Bottom dwelling fish and shellfish (crabs, lobster, mussels, oysters, etc.), vaccinations, flying in airplanes, exposure to radiation, small fish and large fish (like tuna and swordfish), food (produce, processed foods, and packaged foods that have picked up toxic residue), pesticides, mercury fillings, emissions, smokestacks, aviation, auto and commercial vehicle exhaust, baking powders, aluminum-lined juice boxes and cans, non-organic meat/poultry/dairy, cleaning products, and more. We are surrounded by it.

3 Tips to Avoid and Reduce Heavy Metal Toxicity:

Heavy metals are not easy to remove from the body. They require the right foods, nutrients, detoxification supports, and supplements to bind with the toxins and excrete them from the body.

But, here are 3 ways to reduce your exposure to heavy metal toxicity and start binding with the metals to get them OUT of your hot (or soon to be hot) body.parlsey

  • Green herbs – Cilantro, parsley, and even rosemary bind with heavy metals in the  body and hold them tightly in order to remove and excrete them from the body (a process call chelation). A great recipe to get more of these powerful herbs into your diet is Tabbouleh (without the glutinous grains) made from parsley.mercuryfilling
  • Remove Mercury Fillings – If you have silver fillings in your mouth still, it is most likely that they contain mercury. Your body can absorb this mercury over time,  causing mercury to stay within your body and cause many symptoms that you probably don’t realize are connected.
  • chlorellaChlorella – A water grown algae that is full of chlorophyll, natural chelating properties, and TONS of nutrients (vitamins, minerals, proteins, enzymes, etc). It cleanses the blood, enhances the immune system, optimizes oxygen levels in the body, alkalizes the body, and binds with heavy metals so you can excrete them from the body. It comes in tablet and powder form that can be added to juices, smoothies, or taken as pills with water. Take 1.5g-9g/day in between meals. NOTE: Consult with your physician before adding any supplement to your diet.
