As I started valuing myself, an amazing thing happened…I actually had more time, more balance, more love, more energy, more zest to pour into those around me! I cannot tell you how much this program changed my life (and I only really did the essentials…if only I would have taken time for the entire program???). Yes, I lost the weight I was wanting to lose, my energy drastically increased, my skin is much more full of color, and I LOVED all of the food – so FULL of FLAVOR. But really, it was putting the value and love of myself back into my self-care that I am SO thankful for.

For years, I felt like I was missing something. I had a big heart and loved to serve in the communities around me both locally and globally…watching as lives were changed and getting to be a part of something bigger than myself. I enjoyed pouring myself into my career and learning as much as I could in order to add value to the teams I was working with in my public accounting career. I enjoyed the challenge of balancing my personal interests of traveling, family, friends, reading, and just enjoying the outdoors with the demands of my career.

Yet somehow I was missing something. Working with Katie helped me recognize that for the first time in many years I was taking care of myself first. I was learning how to value and LOVE myself. I began to push back initially, thinking that if I started pouring my time and energy into myself, then I wouldn’t have as much time to pour into others (which is my heart). But as I started valuing myself, an amazing thing happened…I actually had more time, more balance, more love, more energy, more zest to pour into those around me! Logistically, during the cleanse, I was working 70-80 hour work weeks and had to adjust my routine to make sure I made time each evening to prepare the meals for the next day(s). The program Katie set up made it easy for me to go to the grocery store once a week to buy all of the ingredients ahead of time. I stuck to the meal plan, as this eliminated any worries about me not having the right stuff. I came to love that hour of winding down at home, being in the kitchen and cooking. I finally learned how to shut off work and just tune into what I needed for me.
